Of course, Yunel Escobar's apology -- in which he said he has nothing against gay people and cited a list of gay friends -- left something to be desired. When asked who these gay friend were, he replied: “I have friends who are gay. The person who decorates my house is gay, the person who cuts my hair is gay. I have various friends who are gay. Honestly, they haven’t felt as offended about this. They have just a different understanding in the Latin community of this word.” All righty, then.
