Another major shakeup at Out magazine. Its owner, Here Media, has laid off the entire staff and outsourced the mag's production to a new venture led by editor in chief Aaron Hicklin. "Most" of the 12 editorial employees at OUT will receive contracts according to Hicklin, but many have their doubts. The Advocate became a supplement to OUT a few years ago. Hard times for all media, and even the niche LGBT market is not exempt. More at Towleroad HERE.
