The Daily Beast

Stephanie Eisner got shit-canned by The Daily Texan for this delightful piece of work. (Just what this tragedy needs -- more idiotic inflammation.) While I'm not surprised (or particularly unhappy -- censorship, schmensoship), if you were going to go after someone, wouldn't it make more sense to fire who was responsible for letting it run in the first place?

UPDATE: Some are actually calling for her reinstatement.

Terrible situation and cartoon, however, much of the press painted him to be the model student and young man which upon further reading, he was not...

This is tiresome in so many ways. First, for Eisner's dumbass choice of words. Then, for the reaction of readers/the paper/etc. to that "gotcha" word. The sad thing is that the point of her cartoon is a valuable one: the media HAS had its way with this story, coming to conclusions way before all the evidence is in.

Which upon further reading, he actually was, if you keep the standard realistic and don't belief the smears of the racist right
