Congrats to my pal Brian Sims, who won the Democratic primary last night in the 182nd District of Pennsylvania's House of Representatives! Not to put the boa ahead of the drag queen, but in this heavily Democratic area, which includes The Gayborhood, Brian is poised to become PA's first openly gay legislator come November -- a major accomplishment and one that is long overdue for the Keystone State.

There were actually 6 openly gay and lesbian candidates running for noms (including 3 uncontested) this year, which is quite exciting. Congrats to your friend!
