If it's so offensive, why surf there and give it traffic in the first place? I don't even go to Drudge.
As for the ad, looks like it was probably part of an overall buy (like a Google ad) and not targeted. But who knows? Interscope has left no stone unturned.
But interestingly, Drudge began life on the 'Net OBSESSED with Madonna. Old-time Madonna fans recall him posting incessantly in those old (what were they called? alt-?) newsgroups about Madonna. Then as his political stripes took over, he began to resent Madonna and write nastily of her. When AMERICAN LIFE came out and after it had debuted at #1 but its single had mostly bombed and it was not a big seller, I recall he posted "END OF AN ERA!" and made a big show of how Madonna was over.
Really Kenneth? How long have you been in media? You should know that a) PR teams don't buy advertising and b) most ads on Drudge and Kennethinthe212 are bought though ad networks and aren't hand selected by any one person.
Yes, I do know how bulk Web advertising works. But I find it "borderline offensive" when a Michele Bachmann ad pops up on my blog too, and I thought my headline was quite amusing.
What I find infinitely less amusing, however, is that the only people with thinner skin than Sarah Palin seem to be Madonna fans. Kind of ironic given she started out as the ultimate fun girl.
I'm not a Madonna Fan. But I do think readers who don’t know how internet marketing works would read your headline and think worse of her for it. It’s that type of sloppy journalism that Drudge himself partakes in regularly. All in the name of being “amusing.”
Jeremy: My site is not "journalism," it's a personal blog of things that interest me and amuse me. You may (say you're) not be a fan, but you certainly have the thin skin and humorless part down!

Calm down, ladies.

OK. Cue the daggers ...
