Will 'Lightning' Strike Twice for Chris Colfer?

The trailer for "Struck by Lightning," the new film written by and starring Chris Colfer of "Glee" looks surprisingly promising, kind of a cross between "Heathers," "Edge of Seventeen" and "Just One of the Guys" (I'm a sucker for a journalism geek!) with a dash of "The Heavenly Kid." A great cast including Dermot Mulroney, Christian Hendricks and Allison Janney doesn't hurt, either. Good for him. Today's generation could use a great teen flick, they've got so little good to call their own. Have a look and tell me what you think.

Looks surprisingly good actually.

What I really want to know is, will there be a surprise cameo from Blaine? :-P

Coincidentally, a friend and I were just discussing "Kurt" yesterday and predicting his career will be a challenge when GLEE inevitably ends.

Looks like he's taking steps to build a future in the business. Good for him!

I have to say I was not expecting to be so amused by this. This shows enormous promise. I only hope that the film measures up to the promise shown in the trailer. If so, I think we've got a winner on our hands.

This does indeed look promising and amusing. I certainly hope it's better than "Edge of Seventeen" which is a movie that started out well and then went way off the tracks. (It's also a movie where I literally said aloud at the ending "Did they run out of film? Or did they run out of money? Or both?").

I love the cast on this one and I hope it does help "Kurt" along on his post-Glee career.

Smart on his part to go film making route as his roles will be limited post Glee.
