Very sad to hear Whitney Houston is dead at 48. Arguably the greatest voice in pop music history, it's been excruciating watching someone with so much talent disintegrate before our very eyes for so many years. That there's absolutely no chance of a happy ending confirms what we all knew but in our hearts didn't want to believe. An American tragedy.

Another great musical talent destroyed by abuse. It makes me think of Judy Garland and Billie Holiday from another era...Michael Jackson and Amy Winehouse from this era.
