Tim Tebow's Hail Mary Moment!

I'm not saying Tim Tebow's being a church fart had anything to do with the Denver Broncos' stunning win yesterday over reigning 2009 Super Bowl champs Pittsburgh Steelers. But from the looks of that electrifying 80-yard touchdown pass -- and Demaryius Thomason's stiff arm and quick speed -- on the first play of overtime, it certainly didn't hurt. Hey, naysayers: Do you still think he's overrated, on the field and (shirtless) off?

I don't find him attractive at all, and all the Jesus shit makes him infinitely less attractive.

Kenneth! Do NOT start liking/defending this buffoon.

It's like the gay kid who has a crush on the hunky homophobic asshole jock in high school, forgetting everything you stand for and what's really important, for the charm of his looks/body/whatever.

The NFL/sports media is obsessed with making this guy the next star of the league and will take anything positive about his playing and BLOW IT UP with lame biblical references and heavy, heavy praise. Yes, one play was great, but the Steelers played like shit that whole game.

The media was totally silent during the last 3 weeks of the season where Tebow played horribly and Denver lost their last 3 games. An 8-8 team making the playoffs only because they led their shitty division is not the stuff of 'miracles' or 'magic'.

Just for the sake of being factual: the Green Bay Packers are the reigning Super Bowl champions (who have a way cuter quarterback).

i'm a Tebow fan because of all the haters. The dude is a good kid who happens to be a very good QB. For pete's sake, why do so many people hate this kid..cause he's a christian, white, not tatted up,a VIRGIN, etc..i just don't get it

@ Anonymous - Actually I think my "hate" (though, that's a strong word) is more for his fans than for him.

I don't watch or keep up with football, so I can't form any kind of opinion on his game-playing abilities.

I don't care that he's a virgin or "saving himself" for marriage.

I'm not Christian, and I don't care whether he is or not. But I find it pompous when he (or any athlete, for that matter) attributes their success to God. If there is a God, I hope it doesn't give a damn about football and concentrates more on keeping the world spinning. God didn't aim the ball, throw the ball, catch the ball or run the ball. Tebow's success comes from his own hard work, training and practice.

But what I really find distasteful is how, after a game like last night's, facebook and twitter blow up with posts about the "coincidence" of how he threw for 316 yards or with pictures of people down on one knee as if they're praying and calling it "tebowing."

They act as if he's actually the second coming of Christ.

Besides, it should go without saying that Jesus would probably be a soccer fan.

I swear I will go to church/mass if he wins the Super Bowl.

Sorry, Anonymous. Just saw your last comment. When I said "hate" was a strong word, I wasn't criticizing you or your post. I just meant that I don't "hate" Tim Tebow. I don't like him, certainly, but he hasn't reached the level of scorn I reserve for people like Ann Coulter or Glenn Beck yet. I do hate Jesus shit, though.
