Today is my mom's 70th birthday (Happy Birthday, Mom! impossible to believe -- she'll always be 38 to me!) and, as Chexy reminds us, would have been John F. Kennedy Jr.'s 51. They say people my age always remember where they were when they found out Kurt Cobain died. But to me -- and many people I know -- John John's passing was the death of our innocence. How could something so awful happen to someone who was so beautiful and seemed to be so good? Hadn't his family been through enough? Chexy found this sizzler of a photo for his post. My John F. Yes, JFK, Jr. seemed like a nice guy. He definitely had the family's daredevil streak and flying with inadequate experience and an injured foot wasn't the smartest choice. It led to tragic end for him, his wife and her sister. Very sad.
And what more is there to say? Time to let time and the world move on...
You left out the fact that the man was soft in the head (flunked the bar exam twice), and that he accomplished virtually nothing during his life (have you read a copy of George lately?).
But in this media- and image-obsessed culture of ours, who cares? All you have to do is look good on camera, and BANG, you're important! And smart! And successful!
Maybe someday we'll all grow up and see the person behind the image -- but I doubt it.

I don't think he was "soft in the head" for taking the bar exam over. Compared to former president George W. Bush or the Republican frontrunners today he was Albert Einstein.
Yes, he was indeed a hot piece (check out that bulge/boner!), but nevertheless I'm adding "Amen yea three times Amen" to Anonymous's & ML's comments!
