One of the many things I would have blogged about had I not been on vacation last week*: Rachel Maddow's heartfelt tribute to gay-rights pioneer Frank Kameny, who died Tuesday at 86. (Barney Frank gave a sweet shoutout to his own partner on last night's Maddow show, noting that Jim Ready had taken the photo she used of Kameny at the gathering where President Barack Obama signed the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Repeal Act of 2010.) RIP, Mr. Kameny. And thanks for all you've done.
