We He Did It!

Feel so personally invested in Novak Djokovic's huge victory over Rafael Nadal today at Wimbledon, although I'm not sure why. Nadal was never my cup of tea -- the butt-picking and gamesmanship aside, I think his dethroning of my Roger is what really turned me off -- but I love everything about Nole, from his game to his joie de vivre. (The hot body doesn't hurt, either.) And even if you don't like the sexy Serb, there's no denying that tennis is way more interesting as a result of his surge! P.S. Was also very pleased for Petra Kvitova, who broke the WTA mold by living up to her potential and and all but blowing Maria Sharapova off the court, 6-3, 6-4, in the women’s final Saturday.

The things that added fun and life to this final are:

1) His facial expressions - so priceless (add that the faces of the people in his box during the rollercoaster 3rd and 4th sets)

2) His cute (and jailbait-y) brothers Marko & Djordje

3) His girlfriend Jelena - j'adore.

Nadal looked like an incredibly poor sport in all of the pics I saw after the match, glowering with his head down. What a prick! Long live Nole!

Nobody plays as beautifully as Roger Federer - in the true sense of beauty.
However, Djokavic plays a brilliant, athletic game of tennis so bravo to him!! Well deserved!
Also thrilled for Kvitova - very humble in her victory. [I'm not a Sharipova fan].
BTW - what is it with all this grunting on the ladies' courts?!?! More noise than a delivery ward!!!!

Nole has been my favorite player since the 1st time I watched him play-----and yesterday's match was awesome!

BTW, do you think there's some "agreement" by all broadcasters to never mention Nadal's butt-picking? He needs some kind of therapy to help him overcome that nasty habit!
