Roseanne Barr's Celebrity Detox

If you worshiped "Roseanne" the way I did, you'll find Roseanne Barr's first-hand account in New York magazine of the behind-the-scenes machinations that led the show from being an amusing family sitcom in Season 1 to one of the most ground-breaking shows in the history of television in Seasons 2 through 6. (Seasons 7 and 8 had their moments, but we don't even need to discuss Season 9!) While fans are probably familiar with a lot of the details -- Roseanne had the "created by" credit stolen out from under her and tried to walk -- it's fascinating hearing what she has to say with some perspective on the whole thing, nearly 25 years since her show went on the air (ouch) and a good 14 years since she fell off the A list. Her telling off that moment -- when the Palm suddenly couldn't accommodate her normal last-minute request for a table -- is alone worth checking the article out. Read HERE.
