Moby's West Coast Crib

I know next to nothing about Moby -- did you know he's actually related to Herman Melville?! His real name is Richard Melville-Hall! -- as he's part of my '90s blindspot that included Beck, Blur and Wilco. But I do know that he always seems to have the most interesting homes (remember his episode of "Cribs"?). His latest -- a refinished 1920s castle in the Hollywood Hills -- will take your breath away, even more so when you ask yourself how the hell he pays for this stuff! (I thought non-superstar musicians didn't make money anymore.) Check it out HERE.

He's an interesting guy and does a lit of soundtrack and commercial work - big bucks.

Yes, on his big hit album, he licensed all songs for commercial use - and all were used.

He's not doing badly.
