Kenneth, I love your blog. I've been an avid follower for quite sometime, but "that god-awful town" happens to be my home! Love it or hate it, it is home to me and a legion of LGBT people. I've learned over the years not to judge the city by its neon lights and over the top casinos. Las Vegas is more than just a tourist trap! It has its beauty, you just have to look beyond the glitzy facade.
And, given the recent controversy with the mix up of Lady Liberty on the US Forever Stamp, OUR Statue of Liberty is prettier. Just sayin'...
AJ: You're right. I guess being from Phoenix I consider it the same thing -- all strip malls and chain restaurants -- so feel like I "know" it. I'm also not much of an outdoorsman, so what Arizona and Nevada are good for is sort of lost on me, too. Sorry!
