The Djokovic's Wild!

What a difference a year makes. After appearing to be a one-Slam wonder -- his serve turned Kournikovaka, his endurance negligible -- Novak Djokovic suddenly finds himself on an 18-match winning streak, taking out Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to win Indian Wells yesterday. With the Australian Open and Dubai already under his belt, he's also stolen the No. 2 ranking from Fed. Nole isn't everybody's cup of tea, but I've always liked him. And with Andy Murray's continuing mental problems and Andy Roddick's slow decline, Djokovic's rebirth couldn't come along at a better time.

Nadal, in a position he's not familiar with

Far less impressive was Caroline Wozniacki, who squeaked by Marion Bartoli to claim the women's title. The points are huge, so will continue to perpetuate the myth that is her No. 1 ranking. The more I watch her, though, the more I realize she's a less-thinking man's version of Martina Hingis. Imagine if Chucky had been Sweet Caroline's size ...
