F**K Extra Credit!

The upside of living in Arizona:

Arizona Gun Law Bills Would Allow Firearms on Campus

There are two House bills waiting to be considered in January, when the session of Arizona legislature starts for the year. The proposals are related in that they both want to expand people's right to bear arms on college campuses. Currently, only law enforcement is allowed to carry guns on school grounds.

House Bill-2001

HB-2001 proposes allowing school faculty members to carry guns on campus. The weapons would need to be concealed, and the right would be limited only to professors, assistant professors and lecturers.

House Bill-2014

HB-2014 proposes that prohibiting people from carrying on campus with a permit should be outlawed. This would be a more extreme measure compared to HB-2001.It would affect a larger population and could make for a significant amount of guns on a campus, as long as those carrying have permits.

I would not feel safe visiting a state (or college) that allows people to carry concealed weapons. I suggest that people boycott states (or colleges) that do so.
