Doubling Down With Jackie O

Am completely intrigued by the idea of a book about Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis' years in book publishing -- who can forget when an enraged Jackie walked out on Viking for publishing the thriller about an assassination plot against "President" Ted Kennedy? But what a shame that two titles -- William Kuhn's "Reading Jackie" and Greg Lawrence's "Jackie as Editor" -- are coming out at the same time. I don't know about you, but finding time to read any book these days is increasingly difficult. So rather than finding the "choice" of two books as a good thing, I usually end up getting annoyed and not reading either. I think the last time this happened, a few years after Jackie died, two books about her life after the White House were released -- Christopher Andersen's "Jackie After Jack" and Edward Klein's "Just Jackie" -- at nearly the same time. Luckily, I only knew about the former and read it before the latter came out. Would be curious if anyone has any insight as to which of the "Jackie in publishing" books would be the better place to start. This article in the New York Times left me more puzzled -- if not titillated -- than anything.
