Elton John never struck me as the kind of person I would enjoy being around -- his agreeing to perform at Rush Limbaugh's wedding over the summer infuriated me almost as much as his
anti-marriage-equality stance a few years ago -- and I'm hard-pressed to forgive
anyone responsible for
"I'm Still Standing," even if he did create many memorable tunes before it. But there's no way not to admire him for the work he does with his
Elton John AIDS Foundation, whose "An Enduring Vision" soiree last night at Cipriani, Wall Street, was clearly the hottest ticket in town this fall in New York. You know that old queen wasn't messing around, either, when there's nary a reality star in sight, and a room full of A-list movie stars, rock stars, producers, sports legends and fashion designers. Since its founding in 1993, the foundation has raised more than $220 million to support HIV/AIDS programs in 55 countries around the world, and last night's event undoubtedly added handsomely to that total. And speaking of handsome, here's a look at the power gays and the people who love/support them ...

I think the real reason Cameron Crowe split from his wife is that he refused to change his ridiculous hairstyle and she couldn't put up with it for one more minute. I mean, does he think he is the reincarnation of Oscar Wilde or something?
Hugh Jackman is just pure man - renaissance man, in the true sense.
Maybe it's the photographer, but they all look like Madame Tussauds' figures. And half of them propped before that awful Tyvek insulation background again.
