Sports and the City

Two nice stories from yesterday that show professional athletes aren't running afoul of the law, even if many of the married ones are sending out their cockshots to unsuspecting young women (oh, Brett: in Crocs???):

Here's Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter looking dapper at the 14th Annual Derek Jeter Turn 2 Foundation dinner at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. The organization's mission is to promote healthy lifestyles among youth.

Meanwhile a few blocks away, NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon promoted the 2nd annual Pertussis Awareness Day (better known as whooping cough) at the launch of the "Sound Off About Pertussis" song contest -- and a new public service announcement at Military Island, Times Square
