Emmy Shines Lights on 'Friday Night'

For all the excitement surrounding LGBT and LGBT-friendly Emmy nominations -- "Glee" picked up 19 including Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele and openly gay Chris Colfer, plus Jesse Tyler Ferguson of "Modern Family" and Neil Patrick Harris of "How I Met Your Mother" -- the only nominations that really meant anything to me this year were the long-overdue nods to Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton, whose work as a heterosexual married couple on "Friday Night Lights" is the best acting on television today. Sadly, even a grassroots campaign for the equally talented Zach Gillford did not get him noticed by Emmy voters, nor was the show recognized as best drama.

See all the nominees HERE.

Yes yes yes! Hooray! It only took, what, three seasons for the Emmy people to nominate this show. Congrats to Kyle and Connie! FINALLY!
