Not unlike record stores and newspapers,
TV Guide is something I've long cherished that is having an increasingly difficult time figuring out where it fits in today's online landscape. While I'm not one of those
hoarders collectors who has every issue since its April '53 debut, getting a subscription to the venerable "magazine" was one of the first things I did when I got my first apartment on my own, a tiny efficiency on 16th Street NW in Washington. (Something about receiving it in the mail with my name on the little white label made being a grownup feel a little more official.) TV Guide has changed hands and attempted to reinvent itself over the years, and yesterday they threw a fun party at the New York Palace hotel to celebrate its first "power" list and upcoming 3,000th issue. Here are some photo highlights from the event:

Matt Bomer

Andy Cohen toasts a few of his favorite "housewives": Caroline Manzo, Ramona Singer, Jacqueline Laurita and Dina Manzo, who is technically a former housewife

Kathy Griffin and Joan Rivers

Ramona with hubby Mario and daughter Avery; Simon van Kempen and Alex McCord

The Singers check to see if they made "the list"

The girls poke fun at their fearless leader
