Sidewalk Talk

While I wish I'd been the first one to start a site devoted to posting photos of misspelled signs and errant punctuation marks, I know I've been beaten to the punch. However, I was delighted to find out yesterday from my friend Christopher that there are still great new blogs being born everyday, such as Train Pigs -- "Exposing Subway Eaters. One Mouth at a Time" -- and Seat Hogs -- "Photos of People Hogging Seats" -- which happen to be two of my biggest New York City peeves. (People who walk and eat at the same time piss me off too, but we'll deal with that another time.)

Williamsburg hipsters like it extra stringy during that long L train stretch from Bedford to Union Square.

Hog on the 1. Butterfly + backpack + noisy mp3 player + handheld game = obnoxious two-seater hog on the morning rush hour downtown 1 train. I’m sorry he didn’t miss his stop at Columbus Circle. He was so comfy in his hog pit that he had to push through the crowd to make it before the doors closed. And of course, he had no problem with the pushing.

Aaaah, those are my 2 biggest pet peeves on the train too. And people that lean their back on the poles and you have to dig your fingers underneath them to get your hand around it (ew). And people that are getting on the train that don't let people off the train first. And......

I'm freaking out. I think I've somehow developed Auto-Correct in my head resulting from seeing so many errors. I totally read those signs as they were intended, not as they actually were written. I had to go back after reading your comment on them.

Amusing site, although it is predicated on people being too timid to speak up for themselves and ask for the seat. Admittedly, they shouldn't have to do so, but to just stand around "fuming?"
