The legendary Lily Tomlin and the hilarious Kate Clinton -- who was all but named* by David Mixner as one of the most powerful lesbians in American politics and with whom I fell in love over dinner last night on the Lower East Side -- will team up for a charity concert on Saturday night at the St. George Theatre on Staten Island. As we gear up for the big night, Time Out's Beth Greenfield took a moment to find out how these two P-town-loving ladies stack up in an old-fashioned lesbian head-to-head HERE.*To create his list, Mixner eliminated anyone from the entertainment and sports community and focused totally on national politics and grassroots. So that leaves off such influential but not exclusively political heavy weights like Kate Clinton, Cynthia Nixon, Melissa Etheridge and Ellen DeGeneres.
