Something's Not Wright

It's no secret I'm a big fan of David Wright. But as recent pictures show, the Mets third baseman has gotten A LOT BIGGER since last season, way more so than can be considered remotely normal. (The World Series was only four months ago.) While I would like to believe this is the result of intense training, the cases of Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Jason Giambi, Mark McGwire and so on and so on tell me there is cause for concern. I know you're feeling the pressure of hitting so few home runs last year in the new stadium. But that test for HGH is making its way through the minor leagues fast. You better watch it, Davey. (NYP)

I can't believe that in this day and age, people would still even entertain the thought of using "performance enhancing" drugs. I hope that is not the case for David.

He's definitely using something, as that's a lot of bulk to put on in 4 months.

Of course, we can't be sure until he's snapped with his shirt off... is that too much to ask?

seems just his arms are bigger. But I really don't think he did anything wrong. He seems like the type of guy who wouldn't do anything that could hurt his reputation.

Wow, hadn't seen that pic. But like Anonymous, this Met fan figured David Wright was smarter about his career than to go on the juice, especially under 2010-level scrutiny.
