Desert Storm

The dual men's and women's tournament out at Indian Wells, California, has been anything but predictable. Nearly all of the top women have been eliminated, as was Roger Federer by a resurgent Marcos Baghdatis (as Fed's glam friends Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani looked on. What, Anna Wintour wasn't available?). Baghdatis then turned around and got knocked out by Spanish hottie Tommy Robredo, who seems to get better looking each year. But Fed still made time to present fellow Swiss Marco Chiudinelli -- whom my friend Greg and I got to see play Davis Cup last year -- the Comeback Player of the Year award.

Marco Chiudinelli was the comeback player of the year? Who voted on that? Federer and Wawrinka? Super random.

And what? Just ignore Elizabeth Shue in that pic?

Any excuse to post a picture of Marco is fine by me. Though I'm not exactly sure what he "cameback" from, his highest ranking on the ATP was 54.
