After getting an e-mail from a reader in Ferndale, Michigan, over the weekend, I went digging through my brother Bill's Flickr galleries looking for this photo. In the years just before I was born, my parents rented this house on Webster Street in Ferndale, just off the Eight Mile Road that marks the border with Detroit and was later made famous by Eminem. As you can see by the flag outside, the house is definitely ready in case I ever decide to return to the Motor City!Monday, February 01, 2010

OMG. I follow your blog religiously and I TOO live in Ferndale! (Not for long though, since I'll be moving to Chicago for work.) Nonetheless, greetings from Michigan!
