Went with
Scooter and
Christopher to the
Try State Magazine gala at Drip over at the Grace Hotel in Midtown. The set-up is interesting and allowed for the party to spread out between the lobby bar -- a cozy space with a swimming pool behind it -- and the upstairs, which overlooks the pool. Lots of great people there.
Finally got to meet the men behind Try State themselves, Robert and Robert, as well as the
JOSH mag guys, Philip Tomaru and Martin Masetto, whom I blogged about
HERE. Plus the legendary hair stylist Bobby Butz and photographer
Walt Cessna, not to mention a few other ex-Factory types who are looking remarkably
rested for their age.

The highlight of the evening, without question, was this firecracker. Her name escapes me, but to us she'll always be Nancy Reagan, party queen. With a Chardonnay in each hand, a killer DJ in the booth and a roomful of trannies, she wasn't about to let her designated driver status get in the way of a good time!
