So it's only fitting that he would do something unexpected in his final weeks on the tour, like knocking out top-seeded compatriot Nikolay Davydenko in the first round of the Kremlin Cup on Wednesday. Davydenko, fresh off his victory at the Shanghai Masters, fell to the former top-ranked Safin, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. Perhaps not the biggest upset ever, but I'm running out of excuses to post photos of the temperamental Russian hunk.
