Just JOSH-ing You

Here's one for my more refined readers: there's an interesting new artists' publication making its debut this month called the JOSH (Journal of Sexual Homos). The New York-based quarterly features original art, photography, and writing by and about Homos.

Each issue of the JOSH will pivot on a central theme, providing a focal point to catalyze exploration of a range of Homo interests and pursuits. Fix Me is the theme of the first issue. With Fix Me, the JOSH explores "notions of reparation, change, transformation, healing, and shifting identity through a multi-faceted lens of original writing, drawings, paintings, photographs, and other media."

The JOSH is published by Arts & Sciences PROJECTS, a creative laboratory staffed by Philip Tomaru and Martin Masetto, To order a copy or for more information, visit its site www.thejoshmag.com.

You can check out two slightly risque works from the premiere issue -- Star by San Diego photog Sam Frazier and Proof of Homosexuality in Nature by Seattle artist Steven Miller AFTER THE JUMP. ----->
