I was back in Detroit recently and an old family friend told me the tale behind Oopsy. He was a Bozo who got drunk and in a bar fight and lost his franchise. Out of work and wildly popular, he created Oopsy to stay on TV. Hence the name. Fun story!

Wow, I drank Towne Club pop, worked at Farmer Jack's, went to Boblo, Edge water park, etc, delivered the Detroit News. Brings back fond memories of growing up at 7 Mile and Telegraph.

Personally, we always went to Yate's Cider Mill out at the north end of Dequindre. What's with New Yorkers and their "apple picking"? We need a good cider mill out east!

How come I don't know Oopsy? I know all the other stuff. Did anyone else watch Mr. Dressup and the Friendly Giant on CBC from Windsor? I also used to watch the Brady Bunch three times-a-day: once on channel 11 from Toledo and back-to-back episodes on channel 50.

Totally with you. And in honor of Halloween, who can forget watching Sir Graves Ghastly on Saturday afternoons? Turn out your lights, pull down the shade, draw the drapes!
