RIP, Soupy Sales

Soupy Sales has died at 83. I can barely remember a variety or game show without him on it when I growing up in Detroit. My favorite thing he ever did was "Junior Almost Anything Goes," a kids' game show in 1976 that -- as the title indicates -- was a precursor to many of today's competition reality shows. We'll sure miss ya, Soupy.

He will be sadly missed. My uncle David Brackove worked with him in Germany on BFBS and said he was a perfect gentleman. RIP

I have many a fond memory of him getting a pie in the face. He will be missed!

Soupy Sales: comedic genius, RIP. A lot of his mannerisms and energy reminds me of Dick van Dyke actually... the two even looked alike
