Soupy Sales has died at 83. I can barely remember a variety or game show without him on it when I growing up in Detroit. My favorite thing he ever did was "Junior Almost Anything Goes," a kids' game show in 1976 that -- as the title indicates -- was a precursor to many of today's competition reality shows. Soupy Sales has died at 83. I can barely remember a variety or game show without him on it when I growing up in Detroit. He will be sadly missed. My uncle David Brackove worked with him in Germany on BFBS and said he was a perfect gentleman. RIP

I have many a fond memory of him getting a pie in the face. He will be missed!
Soupy Sales: comedic genius, RIP. A lot of his mannerisms and energy reminds me of Dick van Dyke actually... the two even looked alike
