'It's Not a Stage I'm Going Through, It's a Stage I'm Living On!'

I think it's safe to say that middle school (or junior high, depending on where you're from) is without question the worst time in a person's life. (Relive my nightmare HERE.) Many of us were picked on for being perceived as gay, even before being gay was something people really talked about. In this weekend's Sunday Times magazine, Benoit Denizet-Lewis looks at where LGBT youths are now in the post-"Will & Grace" generation, where some kids are actually coming out in middle school HERE.

Coming out today is a cakewalk compared to when I came out in high school in the early '80's. And yet I had a cakewalk compared to the gay people of my parents' "Greatest Generation."
