And Then There Were Six

OK, so maybe it was already a forgone conclusion. But if you'd told me, well, six months ago that New Hampshire would approve gay marriage and it would only merit a Page 1 refer in The New York Times, I wouldn't have believed it. You're next, New York: Christine Quinn, the speaker of the New York City Council, who also has been in Albany working in favor of the same-sex marriage bill, offers this reason why a public vote is necessary. “History will record what all of us do on this issue,” she said. “This is one of those moments when you should want to be counted.”
