'Office' Mate

Mike Judge, who brought us two of my favorite things from the '90s -- "Beavis and Butt-head" and "Office Space" -- is wrapping up the final season of "King of the Hill" and preparing for his new feature film, "Extract," coming out in September.

Judge tries to tell The Times about it this way:

It’s kind of like “Office Space,” another workplace comedy, except that “Office Space” was told from the point of view of employees, and the managers were the bad guys. This is from the point of view of the owner [played by Jason Bateman], and it’s sympathetic to him, and the employees are the bad guys. It’s kind of like he’s in a midlife crisis and thinks he’s going -- uh, I’m really bad at pitching, really bad at describing. I almost never have to pitch a movie. With “Beavis and Butt-head” I never had to pitch these two stupid guys watching a video. And after a hit, it was like Hollywood was pitching me.

What a fartknocker. Huh-huh. The film also stars Kristen Wiig, Mila Kunis and Ben Affleck. Watch the trailer here:
