Received this e-mail from Tamra Barney of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" today regarding "homogate." While it would have been refreshing if she'd said "I'm sorry I made a homophobic slur and by the way, none of my friends are gay," I responded to let her know I appreciated her note, and told her that I had a feeling her reaching out to apologize said a lot more about her than some inappropriate comment she'd made on a reality TV show.
Now if we can just straighten that Vicki Gunvalson out we'd really be getting somewhere ...

I read your article and wanted to talk with you. I cant tell you how bad I feel about my comment on last weeks episode. It was stupid and hurtful. Like I said it was not the word I was searching for and probably not a word I had used since I was 14. I can not take back what I said, But I can try to reach out to every article and email I get. I have NOTHING against the gay community. I have a lot of friends that are gay and support gay rights. the first thing I did was call all my gay friends and apologize. Most of them laughed at me and said Tam that is just you putting your foot in your mouth AGAIN. Ricky my dearest friend told me that Yes I would piss off some people. I did not address it on my blog last week because I didn't see the episode before I blogged. I will be witting a apology on next week blog. I will do what it take to make it better.
Please accept my sincere apology.

An honest & heartfelt apology goes a long way.
I think that’s really nice and it changes my opinion of her. It seems like I saw somewhere else where something she had done offended a viewer and she wrote in and apologized. Maybe she’s not like they portray her on the show.
If history is any indicator, there will be a picture of you with her on your blog within 6 months
hmmmmmmm....well it is nice to see she made the effort. I am skeptical though. Actions speak louder than words. She seems to do a lot more talking than anything...
Classy apology. I respect her for that.
It's nice that she went out of her to apologize. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt.

I have to admit, her writing you makes me feel a bit better about her. Still can't stand Vicki though. Of all the housewives, she bugs me the most, especially her recent trip to Vegas where she was whoring herself out for free drinks.
I watch the show and T trash talks everyone at some point or another. She's not a nice person...AT ALL

Don't drink the Kool-aid this is not the first nor the last time H8 spews from her. The ease that that came out of her mouth let's you know that it is an oft used phrase like her and her "boyfriend" calling a friend of Jeana's a F*in F_ _ MULTIPLE TIMES! WITH Witnesses!
