Yes, I Am Gullible

With her sophomoric "Bill Clinton threw us under the bus" comment earlier this year, Melissa Etheridge already revealed how ridiculously naive she is about the ways of Washington. (Bill Clinton's stance on gays in the military as a presidential candidate in 1992 was 100 times more ballsy than anything Barack Obama -- or Hillary Clinton -- stood for in '08, and everyone knows DOMA was pre-ordained law by the heavily Republican Congress that was used as veto bait in an attempt to get "dirt" on Clinton in the hope of having any kind of chance to derail his re-election in '96.) But her latest turn -- playing footsie with Rick Warren (because he's a "fan" of hers?) -- shows that she's just plain stupid. I know I've never been a radio-listener, but just who is this person again (she was "our" Brian Williams on the LOGO forum?!!!) and why does anyone care what she thinks anyway?

Clinton DID throw us under the bus with DADT. It was a pussy move that actually made things worse than they were before.

I wouldn't have faulted him for DOMA, but he bragged about signing it.

He was never a friend of ours, but he found it convenient to pay us lip service.

Yeah, I think that's a bit strange too. The whole Rick Warren inauguration thing stinks- Warren would have no part in a Hillary Clinton inauguration! Besides, Melissa hasn't made a decent album in 10 years.

I received a mailing this morning from the Obama people (One of their mass emails). I went to the unsubscribe button. When asked why I was leaving their email base I told them that between the Rick W insult and the lack of any GLBT person appointed to date that I felt betrayed and wanted nothing to do with the administration. I would suggest a campaign to unsubscribe from his email list would be appropriate.
