I'm not much of a foodie, but I do know a hot piece of meat when I see one. Would you believe celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito used to get beat up all the time back when he was kid growing up in Jamaica, Queens? Now he just gets pummeled by the blogosphere and the "gastronomic elite." I wonder which is more painful. (Read more HERE.)

I don't believe the beat-up story. I think that it is a line to get the sympathy from all his female viewers (especially the trailer park trash that seems to be his viewing audience these days). It is all a reinvention of himself after the disaster reality show and media reports from a couple of years ago. I think his next card to play will be his coming out story. Cheers, GP
Why has Rocco aged into a guy that looks like Kevin Spacey in a bed net wig?
I've heard too many stories about what an asshat he is in person to have much sympathy or interest in him. Very egotistical and self-important.
