It's no surprise that conservative Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran and Afghanistan make the shit list. But tropical Jamaica is supposed to be all laid-back and mellow, right? Wrong. Those island cretins think 10 years of hard labor is fair punishment for the "crime" of being gay. (I'm boycotting Jamaica's Red Stripe beer. Besides, the stuff is piss-water.)
Cape Town, South AfricaOn the flip side is another piece about the 5 most improved places for gays and lesbians. Let's give it up for:

Tel Aviv, Israel

Haven't been able to find a gay twist on the collapsing economy yet?
To anonymous: you're right, the total meltdown in the economy deserves mention -- see latest post. I might also mention that this is what we get for putting the Party of Fiscal Conservatism (ha!) in office for 8 years. I'm surprised we're not all bartering with beads and shells by now.
What about Bangkok??? The city deserves to be mentioned.

to mashar and anonymous: remember that the original articles were about the worst and the most improved places for gays-- not the best. Barcelona and Bangkok may belong on a "best" list, but not here.
