For all of you gay cinema connoisseurs, here's one to be on the lookout for on the festival circuit. "Were the World Mine" is an acclaimed new musical about a gay outcast at an all-boys prep school named Timothy (Tanner Cohen) who -- naturally -- is prone to daydreaming about the school's hunky jock. But his are no ordinary flights of fancy; they're musical theater extravaganzas, complete with show-stopping songs, dazzling sets, and pirouetting rugby player chorus boys. To learn more check out the film's official site here or its MySpace here. By the way, two other films I've blogged about recently -- Yen Tan's "Ciao" and Diana Lee Inosanto's "The Sensei" -- have both recently been selected to screen at NewFest!
