Page 1 Consider (11/15)

  • Pucked Up: Remember those sexy pics of Toronto Maple Leaf forward Jiri Tlusty faux-Frenching a male friend I wrote about last week? After initially laughing off the whole thing the hockey stud finally realized other shots showing him in the nude had found their way onto the Internets so he finally issued a statement about the whole thing: "I used poor judgment in this instance last season and I have learned a valuable lesson,'' Tlusty said in a statement released by the Leafs. "It will not happen again and I have no further comment." Bummer. (365Gay)

  • Knock-Knock: Is Mitt Romney the George W. Bush of Mormons? How else do you explain his doing his mission in France?! (NYT)

  • Evita-Approved: The Mr. Gay competition isn't until 2008 but there's already a controversy brewing over Argentina's contestant. It seems some people don't think the star of "Rush and Release" and "Bang That Ass" is a good representative of gay men. I prefer to see the "films" before passing judgment. (Connexion)

  • Grace Under Fire: New mom Nancy Grace is hospitalized but on the mend. (We miss you, crazy!) (People)

  • Naked Gun: O.J. Simpson will once again face a trial, this time on a dozen charges stemming from a Sept 13 hotel-room confrontation here that could send him to prison, possibly for life, if he is convicted. (NYT)

  • Art Imitating Life? "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane says he'd like his character, McSteamy, to find the right woman and settle down. (All together now: Aaawwwww! (NYDN)

  • RIP: Ira Levin, whose novels include "Rosemary's Baby" and "The Stepford Wives," has died, his agent said yesterday. Levin, 78, suffered a fatal heart attack in his Manhattan apartment Monday, Phyllis Westberg said. (NYP)

RIP mr.Levin, i have always love all your novels especially
"Rosemary's Baby". The good old film version still scares the hell outta me, especially that particular nosy neighbor...

Anon. : You obviously mean Minnie and Roman Castevet played by Ruth Gordon and Sidney Blackmer. Weren't they something? From the first we see them come walking down 72nd Street at night (at the suicide scene) we know there's something deeply wrong with those people (though we still wouldn't guess just how sinister). It was a great book made into a great movie, and also a great Manhattan portrait of a time when Manhattan was genuinely interesting.
