  • Gay Cop, Bad Cop: A gay police officer has filed a discrimination suit against the city and the New York Police Department, saying he was threatened with violence, called vulgar names and treated unfairly by supervisors because of his sexuality. The lawsuit was filed by Michael Harrington, 30, who claims his superior officers failed to take proper action when he told them about the malicious and discriminatory mistreatment he suffered. Harrington said in the suit that a supervisor told him in October 2005 that he was being transferred to the Sixth Precinct in the West Village so he could "be with his people." (Um, everybody knows the Village is straight now. I believe the 10th Precinct is where he should have been sent.) Harrington said that while working in Brooklyn's 75th Precinct, he was repeatedly called a "faggot," found his locker upended and received an anonymous note that read, "Die, you c---." He was at a domestic-disturbance call on Dec. 15, 2003, when, Harrington said, one of his co-workers turned his back on a female beating victim to call him "a fucking faggot." (NYP)

  • 'Paper' Anniversaries: Thirty Rhode Island same-sex couples legally married in Massachusetts posed for a group photo Saturday in front of the state legislature in Providence marking the first anniversary of the Massachusetts court ruling that allowed them to wed. Last year a Boston judge ruled that a Massachusetts law forbidding out-of-state residents from marrying in Massachusetts if their marriage would not be permitted in their home state does not apply to Rhode Island. The latter would protect transgender people, including those who have had sexual reassignment surgery and those who are living as the opposite sex from which they were born. (Advocate)

I know you just bring us the news we need to be see'in, but... Miss Cleo? Really!

That steamed fish and plantain- carpet munching bitch barely escaped federal prosecution and still she operates with an audience even though Dozens upon Dozens of people were robbed because of her deceit. "There definitely was some fallout but nothing that I couldn't navigate." glad she still talks in circles. statements like that can be applied whenever necessary.
