Talking Heads: A new reality show on Fox will look to turn a model into an anchorwoman. Gee, sounds like quite a stretch. (UPI)
Your Verdict Won't Be Ready Till Next Tuesday Either: A judge in Washington is suing his dry cleaner for $67.3 million for losing a pair of his suit pants. They must have been really nice pants. (NYT)
Cough Up the Truth: Recently obtained e-mail messages from TB hunk Andrew Speaker and his two dads show that there wasn't much help in getting the groom-to-be not to travel. (AP)
Go, Gaytors!: In Florida, Gainesville city commissioners have given initial approval for a domestic partner registry that would give opposite and same-sex couples most of the same rights as married pairs in areas where the municipality has control. In a 5-2 vote the Commission directed the city attorney to draft an ordinance to create the registry. (365Gay)
Shortbus: Portland transit officials are investigating a complaint that two teenage girls were kicked off a city bus after exchanging a kiss. The 14-year-old "Personal Best" wannabes say that they were on a TriMet bus on Monday, heading home from school when they kissed. After another passenger complained the driver allegedly called them to "sickos" and told them to "knock it off." And all this time I thought straight guys were into that kind of thing. (Advocate)
Mass. Stupidity: Gay couples have been marrying in Massachusetts for more than three years, but the battle over same-sex marriage in the only state that allows it is anything but settled. Lawmakers will meet Thursday in a special joint session to decide the fate of a proposed state constitutional amendment that would overturn the landmark 2003 court ruling granting gays the right to marry. They have three options: send the question to voters next year, kill it, or postpone the vote. More than three years later I can't believe we're still going through this. (AP)
RIP: Frankie Abernathy, a cast member on "The Real World: San Diego," died Saturday at her mother's home in Shorewood, Wis. She was 25. While no official cause of death has been determined, Abernathy had waged a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis, a chronic lung disease. I never watched that season but I'm pretty sure this is the first death of a "Real World" cast member since Pedro Zamora succumbed to AIDS in 1994. My condolences to her family and friends. (People)
