Tim Hardaway: What a Dick

When asked on a radio program Wednesday about former NBA player John Amaechi's recent coming out, retired Miami Heat guard Tim Hardaway answered the question, and then decided he wanted to go on the record letting the world know exactly how he feels about all gay people:

"First of all I wouldn't want him on my team. Second of all, if he was on my team I would really distance myself from him because I don't think that's right and I don't think he should be in the locker room when we're in the locker room."

"You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people,'' he said while a guest on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket. "I'm homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States."

How pathetic. I'd say these are clearly the words of a man who hates himself because he's getting boned every night and grew up believing there was something wrong with it. And people wonder why professional athletes will only come out of the closet after they've retired.

Hardaway later "apologized" for the remarks during a telephone interview with Fox affiliate WSVN in Miami -- and by apologizing I mean saying that he shouldn't have said he hated gay people on the public airwaves -- not because he didn't really mean it. I'm sure Jasmyne Cannick has already begun sucking his ass and working his PR campaign for him.

For their part, the NBA, for whom Hardaway had been making public appearances, immediately removed him from his duties, saying: "It is inappropriate for him to be representing us given the disparity between his views and ours." (AP)

I don't know if you heard the whole thing, but there are quotes that are even more ridiculous than what's in the AP article.

"If you have 12 other ballplayers in your locker room that are upset and can't concentrate and always worried about him in the locker room or on the court or whatever it's going to be hard for your teammates to win and accept him as a teammate."

Do you know if there are any documented cases of gay locker room rape or anything? I know there have been plenty of broom handles and things like that, but those are supposedly straight on straight crimes.

Tim Hardaway, remember this: Karma. That's right baby, your in for some really bad Karma, as if that hasn't alreay began with the NBA cutting ties with you. Those hateful remarks wouldn't even come out of former Sen. Rick Santorum's right-winged mouth, ok, maybe when he is fucking his wife after fucking Karl Rove. Rick is a prick, but he chooses his words a bit more carefully that Timmy. Looking back when I was a conservative, preppy, republican lover, at 17, I used to make remarks with my step-grand dad, such as "all gays should be placed on an island, doused with gasoline, and let'em burn!". A year later, I joined the Army and discoverd I was indeed a dick-loving fag!! I only use that "F" word when I am referring to myself. I am now 31. Looking back, it disgusts me for making such remarks, but I grew up to be the gay man that I am, Thank GOD!!! I would love to go back in time and kick that 17 year old's ass! The point is, hate of any kind is inexusable, young or old. The only thing Tim accomplished was 1. Making as ASS out of himself, 2. Ruin his legacy, 3. Stopped his future in it's tracks, and 4. Joined the ranks of the worst bigots placed on this earth. These are words that not even the brightest politician could take back. Now, I am just waiting for Tim to enter rehab like all those other washed-up celebrities do when they act below the standards of humanity. I don't promote hating the guy, but I despise him, and I am sure I am not the only one. I am sure he would realize what true hate is if he ever tangos with the KKK. So, in other news today......doesn't Kenneth's posting of Chad White make you salivate? He is one hot gay friendly stud!!!! Have a great weekend all!!

Isn't it funny how when the NBA banishes Tim Hardaway from the All Star Game this weekend, and also representing them in the future, he is sorry.
The free ride for you is over Tim, and i couldn't be happier.
