Page 1 Consider (02/02)

  • Super Model Behavior: I finally got around to watching this week's "Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency," which featured "Survivor" hunk J.P. Calderon's big coming out party for Instinct magazine. Kudos to Janice for being so sensitive and so wonderfully supportive of John Paul in his decision, which clearly was very hard for him. Even though the rumor mill had buzzed since the "Survivor" days about J.P.'s sexuality, it still takes a lot of courage to open up in such a public forum about something that he admits tormented him forever. The photo shoot was super hot (see outtakes at Instinctmag.com) -- or pick up the February issue, you know the one. (Instinct)

  • So Not Gay: The mayor of San Francisco apologizes for fucking his campaign manager's wife and Arianna Huffington wonders why cable "news" stations label it as breaking news. She's got a point there, but I know why it's breaking news in the gay blogosphere: Gavin Newsom favors gay marriage and he's hot. I know I felt like it was breaking news when her ex-husband showed up at a benefit dinner I was at with a twinkie on his arm, who had to be a third his age. Sadly I didn't have a blog back then. (HuffingtonPost)

  • Youthquaker: Were we expecting a movie about Andy Warhol's favorite Superstar, Edie Sedgwick, to be deeper than a pretty magazine layout? (NYT)

  • McMillan & 'Wife': With America's Next Top Homophobe Isaiah Washington completely reformed by rehab, leave it to best-selling author Terry McMillan to step up to the plate. While Miss Thing certainly has her reasons for being angry, a sample of the enlightened questions for the man who helped her get her groove back, only to take it away and redecorate it, that appear in a new book on relationships show that she now believes the actions of one man now represent all homosexuals: "Was Vince [her ex's lover] just jealous of me because I was your wife and I was a woman and I was pretty and black and rich and famous? Does he hate all women because he's jealous he isn't one?" and "Why do men like Vince try so hard to act like women, and why do men like you like them so much?" (GalleyCat)

  • Maybe He Can Share a Cell With Moesha: "Prison Break" hottie Lane Garrison should be charged with manslaughter and drunken driving for a car crash that killed a teenage passenger and injured two others, police said Wednesday. (AP)

  • The Not Ready for Prime-Time Gayers: So you wondered what LOGO had up its sleeve when it abruptly canceled "Noah's Arc"? Well, a gay version of "Saturday Night Live" -- "The Big Gay Sketch Show" -- is one thing on tap, slated to premiere April 24 at 10 p.m. ET. While the fun-looking cast and fine pedigree sound promising -- Rosie O'Donnell is a producer and Amanda Bearse is the director -- let's just hope the show isn't too much like present-day SNL (read: unwatchable). (IMDB)

  • Jesus Wept: The most authoritative report on climate change is using the strongest wording ever on the source of global warming, saying it is "very likely" caused by humans and already is leading to killer heat waves and stronger hurricanes, delegates who have seen the report said Thursday. Um, no shit. Just don't tell that to the homeschooled kids in "Jesus Camp." (AP)

  • Double Helping Blind Study? A new study reveals that binge eating is more common than anorexia in America. No shit. (AP)

  • Talk About Trading Up: That Giselle Bundchen is one powerful lady. First she turns Brazil into a country of anorexics, now she's managed to land America's Top Bachelor! To go from Ellen Degeneres a sissy like Leonardo DiCapario to a hunky quarterback like Tom Brady is quite a feat ... (UsWeekly)

  • Immaculate Conception: Creepy Mary Cheney says her pregnancy isn't a political statement. Too bad the party she helped keep in the White House -- oh, and her father -- don't seem to recognize that. Is her receding hairline one, though? (AP)

Kenneth, can we please get this straight. Immaculate Conception isn't conception without sex, it is the conception of Mary the mother of Jesus without Original Sin. Virginal Conception is conception without sex, i.e., the conception of Jesus.
