Top ranked tennis players, from left to right, Amelie Mauresmo from France, Svetlana Kuznetsova from Russia, Justine Henin-Hardenne from Belgium, Maria Sharapova from Russia, Martina Hingis from Switzerland, Kim Clijsters from Belgium, Nadia Petrova from Russia and Elena Dementieva from Russia pose during a photocall in Madrid, Nov .2, 2006. A three-way race for the women's year-end No. 1 crown comes down to the WTA Championships, which begins today, and it could all be decided by a single point. Defending champion Mauresmo, number-two Sharapova, and third-ranked Henin-Hardenne enter the season finale within 74 points of each other, knowing a win doesn't necessarily secure the title.

Sharapova looks as stunning as ever (and unlike certain other, now retired, beautiful Russian players, has the talent and drive to excel in the sport, too), and Hingis looks as annoying as ever. I never liked her game or her attitude. *WINK*
