Three students -- Amber N. Carlson, 19; Adam Towler, 20, center; and Justin R. Geiger, 20 -- were found dead Sunday in a house in Laramie, Wyo. Geiger was the killer of all three.
  • Bizarre (Gay?) Love Triangle? The police said Wednesday that they were now convinced that a rampage leaving three students dead and one wounded near the University of Wyoming campus over the weekend was a case of double-murder and suicide. Justin R. Geiger, 20, a sophomore from South Beloit, Ill., was believed to have taken his own life with a gunshot to the head early Sunday morning after fatally shooting one student, Amber N. Carlson, 19, and killing another, Adam Towler, 20, with multiple stab wounds to the chest. There is also evidence that the man who survived the attack with knife wounds, Anthony N. Klochak, 19, was sexually assaulted by Geiger (who is also his roommate). Without going into any more details, police are that “this was very much a crime of power and control and violence.” (NYT)

  • Bridget Jones's (Online) Diary: Catherine Sanderson, the British secretary working in Paris who says she was fired because her Paris employer objected to her blog -- "La Petite Anglaise" -- is launching legal action in France, claiming unfair dismissal against accountancy firm Dixon Wilson, British media reports say. • Judging Lezzie: If you thought it was hard to be a lesbian mom in America (and who hasn't thought that, really?), try being one in Chile. (NYT)

  • Words of Wisdom: The theater critic Henry Hewes died Tuesday at age 89. This quote he left us with is something I, as a blogger, will always cherish: “I can only say I’m sorry for every nasty thing I wrote. The fact that I was always right is no excuse.” (NYT)

  • (Re)Tales From the City: A new reality show set in Macy's is scheduled to air on WE, the Women’s Entertainment network. Unlike "Airline," producers say the show will not showcase the bitchiness that goes on between retail queens and customers. Instead, the show will be "inherently dramatic" because of the bitchiness that goes on between the retails queens themselves. (NYT)

  • Master Manipulator: The "father of gene therapy," William French Anderson, was convicted of molesting a colleague's daughter, starting at age 10 when the girl took martial arts classes at his home. (AP)

  • Roger That! Astros hottie Roger Clemens outduels Greg Maddux to move into 8th-place all-time with 343 pitching wins. (AP)

  • Media Man: Today is your last chance to nominate me someone media man you love for Cosmo's Sixth Annual Media Man Search! (Cosmo)

  • Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: While you're at it, Left Behinds is having an informal "Hottest Gay Journalist in New York" competition. Anderson Cooper seems to have a hold on the tiara, but it's not too late to vote. (Left Behinds)

That Hewes quote is pure gold. And that Macy's show? Like those salespeople need *another* excuse to avoid working? (C'mon, Macy's employees: Post something about how Kenneth should take down my comment. I dare you.)
