Blonde on Blondie

Seminal New Wave popsters Blondie will get their place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tonight (VH1 will be showing the edited footage Tuesday, March 21 at 9 ET).

From the sounds of the articles that ran today, Debbie Harry hasn't exactly taken a "Forgive and Forget" approach toward ex-bandmates Nigel Harrison and Frank Infante for that little lawsuit incident and won't be performing with them at the ceremonies: "There was no excuse for them suing us. That ended it." That said, it sounds another ex-bandmate, Bayonne's finest Gary Valentine, has been invited to take part.

UPDATE: Not only were none of the three ex-Blondies invited to perform, when Frank Infante pleaded with Debbie Harry onstage to join in, "Can't we play? Pretty please" -- she apparently "kissed him sweetly" and then turned and said, "Can't you see my band is up there?" "Your band?" Infante shot back, "I thought Blondie was being inducted." The three rejected members walked offstage, but not before Infante groaned into the microphone. Yikes ... I'd like to think that when I'm 60 I will have matured to a level beyond this, but you never know what all of the facts are -- and I've also never been sued by a onetime friend/cohort.
