Santa's Other Little Helpers

I finally got around to taking my Christmas decorations down on Sunday. In the process, I came across an old Christmas card from my sister that featured this all-time favorite photograph from several years ago of my family's cat Cluster and my sister's family dog, Mack, and thought it was the perfect way to close the holiday season.

I really miss Cluster. He died the year after this was taken, but boy was he the sweetest little guy around. He'd let my sister (obviously) do just about anything to him. You can tell he'd just thrown in the towel on fighting with her and was always ready for his latest costume. Mack's still around and has some pretty bad arthritis, but he's as cute as ever and loves doing his reindeer duties when December comes around.

I can't believe Cluster stood for that. There's no WAY my cat would allow me to put something on HER head.

It doesn't appear that the cat is actually happy about having that cap on it's head...

Yeah, I agree -- Cluster definitely does NOT look happy.

You took your decorations down the day BEFORE Christmas?? Kenneth, you're too prompt! :)
