Deadline: Mike Chapman (Blondie, the Knack, Suzy Quatro) documentary to be exec produced by Debbie Harry and Chris Stein
NYT: Cyndi Lauper -- getting ready to embark on a so-called farewell tour -- says she wishes she and media-created enemy Madonna had been friends back in the '80s, yet seemed to take an unnecessary jab at her should-have-been pal in a thin new documentary implying Lauper's record label wished she could have "played it more safe" like Madonna had -- because "Hat Full of Stars" (et al.) was so much more edgy than “Erotica” (the "Sex" book, burning crosses and so on)! #penultimate

Joyeux Anniversaire à Moi
Can’t imagine a better place to celebrate my birthday (June 8) than a trip to the French Open, which I hadn’t attended since the year Novak Djokovic was born! Got to see him perform one of his classic Houdini routines before injury finally got the better of him -- something Federer, Nadal and Murray fans know all too well -- as well as dozens of other players. A big thank you to my hubby for arranging the fifth-row seats on Chatrier, and to my longtime friend Ken for hosting us in his charming new apartment in the Marais! Truly I am blessed. xo 🎂❤️🏳️🌈

À Paris
Having a wonderful time visiting my friend Ken at his new apartment in the Marais, where his retirement is in full swing. He and Damian took me to Le Procope for an early birthday dinner (we were seated in the Benjamin Franklin room, above), before a night out on the town. Damian’s sister and husband are stopping through the city tomorrow on their way back from Sicily, so it’s family time before heading out to Roland Garros on Monday where I may just have a date with Nole, who just finished his match at 3 a.m. this morning!
