Hoboken Train Crash Leaves at Least 1 Dead; About 100 Hurt

Woke up to a bunch of security alerts from work to make sure I was OK after a commuter train crashed at a station in Hoboken, N.J., during the morning rush, killing at least one person and injuring about 100 others, a number of them seriously. Happy to report that all of my Jersey pals -- a lot of the people I work with live over there because some of our offices used to be in Harboside -- and I are all right. Sending good thoughts to everyone who was affected.

I've never understood why people like closet extremist Chris Christie. Here's hoping Bridgegate exposes him for the petty, arrogant bully he so obviously is.

Jersey? Sure

A joyous day in the Garden State as dumbass governor Chris Christie announced that he would drop his baseless legal challenge to marriage equality, hours after same-sex couples started exchanging vows in midnight ceremonies across New Jersey. Read HERE.

State of the Union(s)

From today's unanimous ruling:
"Largely for the reasons stated in Judge Jacobson’s opinion dated October 10, 2013 we deny the State’s motion for a stay. The State has advanced a number of arguments, but none of them overcome this reality: same-sex couples who cannot marry are not treated equally under the law. The harm to them is real, not abstract or speculative."
And it sounds like New Mexico will likely be No. 15! Read HERE.

BREAKING: New Jersey Supreme Court Says Same-Sex Marriages Can Proceed

Great day for New Jersey and America. The governor should be ashamed of himself.

Via Associated Press:
New Jersey’s highest court has denied the bid by Gov. Chris Christie's administration to delay same-sex marriages pending an appeal of an earlier ruling, paving the way for gay couples to wed in the Garden State starting on Monday.
"Imagine the happiness you'd feel if you won the Super Bowl, the Nobel Prize and an Academy Award all in a single moment, and multiply it by a million," Garden State Equality Executive Director Troy Stevenson said in a statement. "That’s how we LGBT New Jerseyans feel right now."
